Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam —October 21st, 2021— Asia Clean Capital Vietnam (“ACCV”) announced the commencement of construction of a new rooftop solar project at Mapletree’s SC Vivo City shopping mall in district 7, Ho Chi Minh City.

The construction of the SC Vivo City project was officially kicked off on October 21st 2021. With a total capacity of 745.53 kW, this dedicated PV system will provide approximately 25% of clean electricity for the shopping center throughout peak hours.

ACC Vietnam’s unique PV system design uses over 1,400 of state-of-the-art solar panels, together with DC Power Optimizer which deliver more than 25% improved efficiency in partial shade conditions over conventional panels using standard string inverter. With an estimated power output in excess of 1.050 GWh/year, the SC Vivo City solar system will reduce Vietnam’s carbon emissions by more than 830 tons of CO2/year. Additionally, it will also contribute to reduce the building’s temperature by 3-5 degrees Celsius and further cuts electricity consumption of air conditioner usage.

The solar system is expected to be completed and fully operational in December 2021.
